Once again we will start with a flat BOM:
there are 3 products which must have FMD data, they are all at Level 1
there are no sub-products in this declaration
For the Lead frame I know the total mass is 1.00 gm but I do not have all of the substance information (or I do not wish to disclose it)
but I cannot declare 0.70 gm of substances and successfully validate the data so I will use misc-not-to-declare as the substance name as a placeholder for the 0.30 gms
This will allow me to successfully use the Validate and lock section button
You need to check with your customer to see if you are allowed to use this method to make a partial disclosure.
Your customer may have very specific substance names that they may want you to use such as unknown chemical or system or proprietary chemical
If your customer requires you to respond to the Class A - Query List questions, you must be sure that your answers are true for the substances you are not disclosing!
