7. Class D - Full Material Disclosure (FMD)

 
Class D - Full Material Disclosure also known as FMD, should be used to declare all chemicals and materials used in your product.
 
 
If your customer requires only a Class D - Full Material Disclosure declaration, or if you have the choice and chose only to provide a Class D - Full Material Disclosure declaration
 
A FMD section will have to be completed and validated
 
A pop-up window will appear with instructions.
Products and/or subproducts entered in the Products tab will be available in the drop-down list.
Click to select each Product and/or subproduct to enter data for this section.
A counter tells you the % completion
 
 
If you click and hover over the column headers which have a red triangle in the top right hand corner of the cell, you will see an explanation of the data that is required.
Complete all mandatory data coloured in red.
To add additional rows, click the Add row button.
To remove a row, click the Delete row button.
 
The unit of measure used in the form will usually be the same as entered in the Products tab for the mass of the product.
To switch the unit of measure between gm and mg, click the button Change to gm or Change to mg as required.
Click Show example for a completed form.
 
If you click in Exemptions column, a list of RoHS exemptions will be shown in a pop-up window. If you have not declared any products which are EU RoHS compliant by exemption, then close this window.
If you have declared products that are compliant by exemption, click the appropriate exemption/s from the list to highlight and click Add selected exemptions
 
Click the Validate and lock section button. Correct any errors as applicable.
 
Click on the Help button for additional guidance.
